A very interesting thread at threadwatch.org suggests that Flickr may have been bought by Yahoo. This would certainly make sense seeing as yahoo do not have any moblogging services currently and there has been alot of talk of Flickr being sold to a large player like Google or Yahoo.
If this is the case then the aquisition brings another large player to the table of moblog offerings. Threadwatch suggests that Yahoo might be holding off until March the 1st. The source of the rumor suggests that google was also interested in Flickr which makes sense for the search engine giants who are keen to expand their service offerings.
After reading about the flickr deal I found Hello.com which I didnt actually know about. This is a service which works with Google's Picasa photo organising and is designed to make sharing photos easier. On further inspection, the service also provides a way to put photos on Google's blogging service - Blogger. This has been around since May 2004 and if you visit Picasa you will see that its not obvious that hello.com is another extension of the service.
Yet more interesting developments in the moblogging industry. I wonder how much Yahoo paid for Flickr (if they have bought it)? No doubt the married couple who started Ludicorp are pretty happy!
